Funding Highlight: YES!Fest
The Youth Engineering and Science Festival encourages a love of STEM.

Free Family Event
September 14th, 2024
LINC Library Innovation Center
501 8th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631
YES!Fest (Youth Engineering and Science Festival) is an annual family festival at LINC Library Innovation Center which received $1,500 in Board Designated Funds for 2024. YES!Fest is an educational event that promotes science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education among children and families. This festival offers a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages to engage in hands-on activities, workshops, and interactive exhibits that showcase the wonders of science and engineering at no cost to our community.
One of the primary focuses of YES!Fest is to create a fun and inclusive environment for families to explore various STEM fields together. Through these hands-on experiences, children can ignite their curiosity, creativity, and passion for STEM.

By demonstrating the practical applications of these fields in our everyday lives, the festival seeks to showcase the relevance and impact of STEM disciplines on community. YES!Fest hopes to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.
HPLD Friends & Foundation has been an active supporter of YES!Fest since it's inception. Support is given annually through Board Designated Funds, soliciting sponsorships, and writing grants. We hope you are able to join us at YES!Fest this year and keep an eye out for the HPLDF&F booth!

Library Giving Day Correction
1+1=4
Due to this author's difficulty with math, our Q2 newsletter stated that $1,375 was raised on Library Giving Day. However, when the financial gurus crunched the numbers, they discovered $825 was actually raised. Moving forward, care will be taken to publish when the numbers are finalized rather than relying on the author's ability to count on their fingers. We greatly appreciate those who took the time to support their HPLD library this past April
