2024 Funding Wrap Up
You've made a difference this year.
A donor to HPLD Friends & Foundation makes a significant impact on the local library. With their support, librarians are able to expand programs and services, benefiting people of all ages in the community. For the little ones, the donor's contributions help fund early literacy programs, providing educational resources for infants and toddlers. These programs not only entertain children but lay a strong foundation for their lifelong love of reading and learning.
The library also becomes a hub for young adults and adult seeking career growth, thanks to the donor's generosity. Their funding enables the librarians to teach computer and career development workshops and provide career resources. Adults can continue their learning journey, with programs ranging from financial literacy workshops to book clubs and Facebook classes. The impact of the donor's contributions is tangible, as the library becomes a place where people of all ages can access educational, cultural, and informational resources, enriching their lives in immeasurable ways.
Thank you for supporting HPLD Friends & Foundation in 2024. Below is what we were able to do because of you.

2024 Events
HPLD Friends & Foundation threw a fundraising event and two appreciation events this year.
Innovation Luncheon
$14,20

The Innovation Luncheon is the Friends & Foundation’s annual Skills Pipeline fundraising event focused on bringing Friends of HPLD together to raise funds for the High Plains Library District's workforce development and life skills programming. This event offered the opportunity to dine among peers, support life-accelerating programs, and invest in the future of our community. In 2024, the funds raised were designated to the We Build It Better kits and upcoming workforce development programs, highlighting our commitment to providing valuable resources and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The support received during this event ensures that life-changing opportunities continue to be available at the library for years to come, making a lasting impact on individuals and the community as a whole. Thank you to all who contributed to the success of these essential initiatives and helped shape a brighter future for our library patrons.
Friends Appreciation Events

At the An Evening with Friends event, we celebrated the generosity and dedication of our volunteers and donors who supported the High Plains Library District from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024. The event was held in two locations this year to make it more convenient for Friends across the library district to attend.
Friends and supporters were invited to join us for a special after-hours gathering at either LINC or Erie Community Library. The evening was filled with like-minded library enthusiasts, a paint-along program led by an HPLD librarian, and a delightful selection of hors d'oeuvres. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and donors who attended and contributed to the success of their library, exemplifying the spirit of generosity and community that makes our library district thrive.
